The Glynneath Training Centre was established 20 years ago.  When it opened it had 40 enrolments, poor facilities and bleak prospects ahead.  Today the Centre, whose primary aim is to provide education and training for local people, is a busy vibrant establishment with close to 600 enrolments and many other services to offer the community, including an Art Gallery, Nursery, Cyber Cafe and allotment scheme.
